Your information at a glance
We use your email for account access, Amazon SES or Resend for service email delivery, Stripe for payment processing, and AWS to host the service and save your study work. Essential cookies and browser storage support sign-in and progress. Contact larussojeremy@gmail.com for privacy questions or personal-data access, export or deletion requests.
1. Operator and scope
Jeremy Phillip Johnson LaRusso, known professionally as Jeremy LaRusso, operates Logic Refined. This notice describes information used by logicrefined.com and the connected practice program. It does not replace the privacy notices of Stripe or other providers when you use their services.
2. Information we use and why
- Account and access: your email, an internal account identifier, hashed sign-in and session credentials, request times and session-revocation information help deliver requested links, verify access and protect your account.
- Study progress: we automatically save supported study progress to your account, including practice history and answers, questions saved in Review, related review information, preferences and any earlier imported study state. We use it to keep your work available when you return.
- Membership and payment records: Stripe customer and subscription references, payment amounts and status, paid access periods, invoice, refund and dispute references, and billing-event records let us manage access, renewals, support and refunds. For recurring checkout, we record the terms version, acceptance time and offer. Refund request records include the requested amount, request time and processing status.
- Referral attribution: if you arrive through a registered partner referral, a first-party referral cookie can remember the visit for up to seven days. The cookie contains only an opaque token, not your email or a partner code. The server stores a hash of that token with the partner identifier, creation time and expiry. The cookie is cleared after verified sign-in or account creation. A verified referral can become an immutable account record of the partner and attribution date; changing links later does not rewrite that record. The owner can review the attributed account’s payment, refund and dispute event evidence to administer the referral relationship. This report is owner-only and does not give a referring tutor access to your payment details. Referral attribution does not track activity across other websites or enroll you in marketing.
- Student invitations and offers: if you receive an individual student invitation, we use the invited email, an internal invitation or code reference, issue and expiry information, and redemption status to verify eligibility and prevent repeated use. A redeemed offer is linked to your account, the accepted offer and the resulting subscription or free-access period. These records let us honor the offer, manage access and resolve billing questions; they do not authorize an undisclosed charge.
- Security and technical information: hosting requests include information such as an IP address, browser request headers, time and requested resource. The application uses hashed email/IP-based rate-limit identifiers. Bounded diagnostics record request IDs, error categories and status information to investigate failures and abuse.
- Support: information you send by email is used to answer your request and resolve account or billing issues. Avoid sending full card numbers, passwords or usable sign-in links.
Full card details are entered on Stripe's hosted pages, not Logic Refined account forms. We do not intentionally write usable sign-in tokens or full provider error messages into application diagnostics. Necessary account emails are transactional; requesting a link does not enroll you in a marketing list.
2a. Optional practice reporting and tutor sharing
When supported practice reporting is enabled and saving to your account is active, new fixed-bank answers may create separate activity records: your internal account ID, a question and event reference, selected answer, server-checked correctness, question type, editorial difficulty and answer time. The current version reports 1,743 supported fixed questions. Generated and two-part drills, and 94 recognition drills whose choices vary are excluded. Earlier browser history and imported saves are not reconstructed into activity. A bounded in-memory delivery queue can lose an unconfirmed event if the page closes; these records are not a complete audit of every practice action.
Each recorded answer is stored as its own activity record until it is deleted through an applicable deletion process. Reports show summary totals and up to 100 recent answers; this display limit does not delete older individual activity records. Stored activity records and account summaries are not automatically erased by canceling membership. See retention and deletion below. Reporting does not itself make results visible to a tutor. Your own recorded summaries and exact answer feedback can be reviewed at Your practice insights. Explanation-pattern labels describe the selected answer; they do not establish why you chose it, and unmatched explanations remain available for review.
If you expressly accept an invitation, the named tutor can view recorded supported activity, including previously recorded and future answers while the connection is active, along with the question and selected/correct answer text. This permission does not include payment details, private notes, editing your work or signing in as you. Each tutor view checks the current connection and tutor entitlement. Review or revoke permission at Your tutor connections; reviewing and withdrawing permission does not require an active paid plan.
Invitation records include tutor and student account/email references, a hashed single-use code, expiry, status, accepted scope and consent version/time, and revocation information. Codes are not sign-in credentials. Revocation prevents subsequent access through that connection, but information a tutor already viewed or recorded cannot be recalled. Ask the tutor and Logic Refined about correction, export or deletion. These features remain unavailable until enabled in the private pilot or public service; this notice does not itself enable sharing.
Diagnostic and focused practice
Account-based diagnostics and focused practice store your chosen criteria, the exact version of each question, selected answers, revision and completion times, and a raw result profile. Answers are graded on the server when you finish. Active questions do not disclose their answer key through these assessment endpoints. A diagnostic is preliminary practice evidence, not an official test score, percentile, proctored result or calibrated prediction. Retakes may repeat questions and affect familiarity.
Your account keeps up to two active assessments, the latest twenty completed assessments and the latest two abandoned assessments in its assessment history. Older history is removed from this working journal as newer assessments finish. You can download a performance summary of completed work without question text, answer choices or explanations. Full question review remains available in the app for retained completed assessments. Question-version records contain source curriculum, not another student's answers. Minimal request-operation records can remain after visible history is removed to prevent retries from recreating an old assessment; these do not contain answers or question text. Canceling membership does not erase saved assessment history. You can review and finish already-saved work after membership expires, but starting or answering new work requires current access and an enabled feature.
If you accept the current tutor-sharing invitation, completed diagnostic and focused-practice profiles are included in the practice results shared with that named tutor. Unfinished assessment answers are not included in tutor profiles. Assessment results remain separate from the ordinary practice-answer totals; a completed assessment is not backfilled as individual ordinary practice events. Withdraw tutor access at Your tutor connections.
3. Providers and access
Amazon Web Services hosts the application, account records and private study storage. Amazon SES or Resend sends requested sign-in links, membership confirmations and other service emails, depending on the configured email provider. The email provider receives the destination address, sender, subject and message content, including a temporary sign-in link when requested, and processes delivery, bounce and complaint information. Open and click tracking are disabled for Resend delivery. Account records and saved study progress remain in AWS; payment-card processing remains with Stripe. The current application resources are in AWS's Ohio region; providers may also process operational information elsewhere under their own terms. Stripe processes checkout, recurring payments, billing portal actions and refunds.
Authorized service operators and providers may access information needed for these purposes, security, support and legal obligations. We do not currently run advertising trackers or sell your study progress. Logic Refined does not track your activity across other websites over time and does not change this behavior in response to a browser Do Not Track signal. Third-party providers may receive ordinary request information when their services are used, under their own privacy notices; we do not authorize them to use your study progress for cross-site advertising. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, address fraud or protect accounts and legal rights. Any future materially different use requires an updated notice and any consent required by law.
The pages request fonts from Google Fonts, which sends Google ordinary resource-request information such as your IP address and browser headers. Support uses the contact mailbox listed here. Provider information: AWS privacy notice, Resend privacy policy, Stripe privacy policy, Google privacy policy.
4. Cookies and browser storage
The service uses an essential, secure account-session cookie. A session lasts up to fourteen days unless signed out or revoked earlier. A requested sign-in link expires after ten minutes and can be used once; the server stores hashed credentials rather than the usable token.
An optional first-party referral-visit cookie lasts up to seven days and is cleared after verified sign-in or account creation. It contains an opaque token used to retrieve the server-side partner/visit record; it contains no personal information or readable partner code and is not an analytics cookie. The account’s resulting attribution record and financial evidence follow the retention practices below. The study program uses browser storage for progress and preferences. Account-connected work is kept separate for each signed-in account. Signing out does not erase local study work. Clearing site data can remove that browser's copy but does not delete progress already saved to your account on AWS. Any files you downloaded previously remain under your control. Stripe's hosted pages may use their own cookies and storage.
5. Access, export, correction and deletion
Use Your account to sign out or revoke sessions on all devices. Study progress saves automatically to your account. Contact larussojeremy@gmail.com from your account email to request access to or an export of your personal data, correction or deletion. We verify the request and its scope before acting; you may also have rights under the laws that apply to you.
There is currently no self-service Delete account button. Cancellation, sign-out and account deletion are separate actions. Cancel renewal through Manage subscription before requesting deletion so payments do not continue. If you cannot sign in, contact support for cancellation and deletion help. Deleting progress saved to your account on AWS does not erase files you downloaded previously, a browser's local copy, or records Stripe must retain under its own obligations.
6. Retention and security
Account and study records are not automatically deleted when you cancel or stop using the service. We retain records needed to provide your account, preserve requested saves, resolve billing issues and meet legal or security obligations. Older study snapshots, backups and payment records can exist separately. Deletion requests are handled individually with any necessary retention exceptions; we do not promise immediate removal of every backup copy.
Application service logs are currently configured for fourteen days. That log setting is not a retention deadline for study, account or payment records. We use HTTPS, secure session cookies, private cloud storage and account-ownership checks. No online service can guarantee absolute security. If you suspect misuse, use Sign out all devices and contact support.
7. Updates and contact
The effective date and version appear above. Material changes will be described in an updated notice and, when appropriate or legally required, a service notice or a request for consent before the new use. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to larussojeremy@gmail.com. You can print or save this page using your browser.
